I didn’t grow up having role models, I grew up having people I didn’t want to be like and situations I’d never wanted to be in. I have always considered myself what some people call “arty-fartsy.” Am interested in artistic ideas that most people do not think are interesting or worthwhile. So instead of taking it as a criticism, I embrace it. For more then a decade I’ve been pushing boundaries as a stylist, costume designer, and set display artist. I’m infatuated with dressing up and living in New Orleans there is always an opportunity to do so. I find my own success in helping others feel just as powerful in clothes and costumes as I do. Our clothes are wearable art, a way to express ourselves without using any words. I envisioned a space to discover new products and help support brands and artists who actually uplift our community, while finding a hidden gem or two along the way. Let’s all get dressed up and be someones role model while looking fantastic.
